February 11, 2008 — Despite all of the hoopla stating otherwise, Firefox 3 beta for seems to be a big step backward in rendering performance when compared to Firefox 2, which could be a bad thing for the Mac. What has your experience been?
January 2, 2008 — As some of you have already noticed, the Forum has been upgraded to YaBB 2. In the process, I have rebuilt the member list and instituted a more rigorous registration process to reduce spam. If you were a previous forum member, please take a moment to re-register; you are encouraged to re-use your prior username! I apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone, but I hope you will find that it's all for the better.
January 1, 2008 — Happy New Year, and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2008 to all of you. We open this year with news that Netscape will once again be discontinued. October 11, 2007 — Trillian - which is regarded by many (including yours truly) to be the finest cross-protocol IM client for Windows - is finally coming to the Mac. See the Trillian blog for information on this release, including a tester application form.
March 31, 2006 — I just wanted to take a moment to note that the "other news" you see in this middle column may not get updated very often, and that's by design. The news I cover here is limited to items of interest in the Macintosh Internet application space - items that go beyond simple application updates that are handled in the leftmost column of the home page. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending upon your perspective), there isn't always a lot of earth-shattering news in the Mac Internet application space. That said, I'll do my best to keep this interesting for folks in the future with more regular tidbits so that this space can seem a little "fresher." The main reason to visit this page, however, will remain (as always) the application updates!
